This equestrian double portrait, painted around 1652–53 by Aelbert Cuyp (1620–1691), shows the young brothers Cornelis and Michiel Pompe van Meerdervoort astride their horses with their tutor and coachman, dressed as huntsmen before a ruined castle. Cuyp, the leading landscape and portrait painter of the Dutch Golden Age, was among the first to bring this grand equestrian format — once reserved for royalty — to the sons of a prosperous Dutch family. The painting now hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Jacquard-woven in soft, durable cotton — a warm, fully reversible throw for the sofa, bed or reading chair.
