Christ Crucified between the Two Thieves, known as The Three Crosses (1653), is among the most powerful prints ever made. Rembrandt sends a supernatural shaft of light down onto Golgotha while the crowd reels in shadow, and he dramatically reworked the copperplate over years, each state darker and more visionary than the last.
Jacquard-woven both sides in soft, durable yarn; insert included.
The picture is so soft that the whole thing looks out of focus from six feet away. Everything that makes The Three Crosses worth looking at got lost somewhere in this reproduction.
