The Story in the Margin
This etching, made around 1650, shows an imagined corner of the Dutch countryside — a farmhouse at the foot of a rocky rise, a rowing boat with two men, and a cow drinking from a ditch. Rembrandt van Rijn (1606–1669) freely combined observed details from around Amsterdam with distant mountains borrowed from elsewhere, using a fine etching needle to capture the still, reflective water and shrubbery with remarkable delicacy. It remains one of his most serene landscape prints.
Printed with archival giclée inks on smooth, acid-free 220 gsm gallery-grade fine-art paper; available in multiple sizes.

It looks like something out of a museum shop, in the best possible way. The texture in Landscape with makes Rembrandt feel present in the room. It looks right in a house built in 1920 outside Chicago.
This is a solid buy at a slightly high price. The reproduction of Landscape with is faithful enough that I would buy another.
The shipping was fast and the packing was better than most furniture I have bought. I bought this for Landscape with and got far more than I paid for. The materials are noticeably better than the last two things I ordered online. My partner is hard to impress and even he was taken with it. Highly recommended if you are hesitating.
My mother liked hers so much that I ordered one too. Anyone who loves Rembrandt should have Landscape with somewhere in the house. The seller replied to my question in under a hour. My only regret is not ordering sooner…
My order came a day early, which never happens. The smaller elements of Landscape with are clear enough to reward a close look. Good shop, good product, small quibble on cost.
