“Volpini Suite: Women Washing Clothes” is a zincograph Paul Gauguin (1848–1903) printed on bold yellow paper in 1893–94, part of the portfolio of prints first exhibited at the Café Volpini in Paris in 1889. Gauguin used the unconventional colored paper and simplified, flattened forms to break from academic printmaking conventions, reflecting scenes of Breton and Martinican life filtered through his search for a bolder, more symbolic style of art. The print is held in the public-domain collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Jacquard-woven in soft, durable cotton — a warm, fully reversible throw for the sofa, bed or reading chair.
