Painted by Ren Yi and titled Zhu Niao Tu (Bamboo and Bird Picture), this hanging scroll pairs partridges with bamboo, whose hollow, upright stems and evergreen resilience made it a lasting symbol of integrity in Chinese painting. It reflects Ren Yi's mature style of loose brushwork and tonal ink washes. The work is held in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Jacquard-woven both sides in soft, durable yarn; insert included.

This is my fourth order from this shop and the standard has not slipped once. The colors in partridges bamboo are richer than any version I found online.
I have already recommended this shop to three people. The colors in partridges bamboo are richer than any version I found online. An easy five stars from me.
It looks like something out of a museum shop, in the best possible way. Everything that makes partridges bamboo special survived the reproduction. I have already ordered two more for other rooms. It has held up through a winter of dry radiator heat with no curling at all.
It has held up through a hot summer with the windows open. The scan behind partridges bamboo is clean, with no obvious artifacts.
I bought this to fill an awkward corner and it did much more than that. The shading in partridges bamboo has a depth I never noticed in books.
