This is a second rendering of a favorite pairing in Chinese decorative painting: trailing wisteria blossoms above goldfish, whose Chinese name jinyu forms a visual pun on abundance and prosperity. Like its companion piece, it continues the long tradition of closely observed plants and creatures rendered in ink and color.
