Officials in Ming and Qing dynasty China wore a badge of rank, or buzi, on the chest and back of their court robes, its bird or animal motif instantly signaling their grade within the nine-tier hierarchy of the imperial bureaucracy. These badges were commissioned individually or in pairs and ranged from modest embroidery to elaborate silk-tapestry weaving, depending on the wealth and status of the official who commissioned them. This example reflects the broader tradition of rank-badge weaving practiced across several centuries of Chinese court dress.

It does its job in the kitchen without doing anything special. The colors in Rank Badge VI are close to right and a little cool for my taste.

This went well past what I expected. There is a life to Rank Badge VI here that flat reproductions usually kill.
It landed on my porch in perfect condition two days early. The colors in Rank Badge VI are richer than any version I found online. My partner is hard to impress and even he was taken with it. The materials are noticeably better than the last two things I ordered online.
The picture itself is nice and the execution is average. My eye goes to the middle of Rank Badge VI and finds the edges a bit soft. It is fine, and I did expect better.
