A crouching tiger marked a fourth-rank military official within the Ming and Qing dynasty system of court rank badges, in which nine different animals distinguished the grades of military office. Known in Chinese tradition as the king of beasts, the tiger conveyed the ferocity and authority expected of a military officer's public insignia. This badge would have been sewn to the front and back of a formal military robe.
Jacquard-woven as a soft, double-sided tapestry throw with fringed edges — a warm layer for the sofa or bed.

Good value for something this size. Everything I like about Rank Badge with Tiger is here and legible. Nearly perfect, and I am not complaining.
I wanted something for the home office that nobody else would have, and this is it. I have been hunting for a good version of Rank Badge with Tiger for two years. ✨
This is the rare purchase that looks better in person than online. The shading in Rank Badge with Tiger has a depth I never noticed in books.
It went exactly where I planned and needed no adjusting at all. The colors in Rank Badge with Tiger came through almost exactly as I hoped. The price is a little steep and the quality mostly justifies it. Very happy with the purchase.
The shipping was fast and the packing was better than most furniture I have bought. I bought this for Rank Badge with Tiger and got far more than I paid for. The tracking updated at every stage and it arrived when they said it would. Our apartment gets almost no light until noon and it still reads clearly. 🙂
