This tranquil river scene is the work of Aelbert Cuyp (1620–1691), one of the most celebrated landscape painters of the Dutch Golden Age. Working in his native Dordrecht, Cuyp became famous for bathing the Dutch countryside in warm, golden light and populating it with grazing cattle — here, a herdsman tends his herd beside the water near the town of Vianen. His luminous, pastoral style later captivated British painters such as Constable and Turner.
Jacquard-woven in soft, durable cotton — a warm, fully reversible throw for the sofa, bed or reading chair.

Four stars because it is excellent and I paid a little more than I wanted to. Everything I like about A View of Vianen is here and legible. Solid purchase, no regrets.
The subject was exactly what I was hunting for and the reproduction is clean. The fringe on this blanket is even and tightly finished.
This made the whole team smile. Thank you for taking the time, and enjoy it.
The reproduction quality is the best I have seen anywhere near this price. The smallest marks in A View of Vianen are still visible, which is the entire point.
