In his later years, deaf and disillusioned, Francisco de Goya (1746–1828) turned from royal portraits to a private world of imagination and unease he called his caprichos — 'caprices.' This late fantasy belongs to that visionary strain, where reason gives way to dream and the grotesque. It is held today in the Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Agen in France.
Jacquard-woven both sides in soft, durable yarn; insert included.
