Claude Monet lived in Argenteuil, on the Seine northwest of Paris, from 1871 to 1878, a period widely considered the high point of classic Impressionism, during which he, Renoir, and Manet often painted together in the town's garden and riverside settings. "The Artist's House at Argenteuil" depicts Monet's own home and garden, filled with dahlias and family life, blending domestic subject matter with the bright, broken brushwork of his mature Impressionist technique. The Argenteuil years produced some of Monet's best-loved and most reproduced paintings.
Jacquard-woven as a soft, double-sided tapestry throw with fringed edges — a warm layer for the sofa or bed.
