This went well past what I expected. It brings out parts of English Oak I have never seen reproduced this well. It looks right in a house built in 1920 outside Chicago. I could not be happier with it.
The reproduction quality is the best I have seen anywhere near this price. There is a life to English Oak here that flat reproductions usually kill. I already have my eye on a second one.
The shop answered my question about sizing within a few hours. Only the far edges of English Oak lose a little crispness. The quality of the materials is obvious the moment you handle it. The listing photos were honest, which is rarer than it should be. It is staying right where it is.
It looks like something out of a museum shop, in the best possible way. Everything that makes English Oak special survived the reproduction. The packing was almost comical in how careful it was. My neighbor liked it enough that she ordered one for her own place. Highly recommended if you are hesitating.
