“Happy New Year” is a polychrome woodblock print made during the Kangxi reign (1662–1722) of China's Qing dynasty, part of the popular tradition of Chinese New Year prints created to welcome good fortune into the home. These vibrant, mass-produced prints combined auspicious imagery and festive symbolism rather than bearing a single artist's signature, reflecting a folk-art tradition practiced in workshops across China for centuries. The original sheet is held in the public-domain collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
