Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec designed this poster to advertise the studio of Paul Sescau, a Montmartre photographer and friend of the artist known for a certain reputation with women, which Toulouse-Lautrec slyly alluded to in the composition. Rendered in his signature flat color and bold outline, the poster reflects the close-knit world of artists, photographers, and performers in 1890s Montmartre that Toulouse-Lautrec documented throughout his career. His poster designs for friends and local businesses helped establish the advertising poster as a legitimate modern art form.
Printed edge to edge on a soft, durable woven area rug with a comfortable, non-slip feel.

This went well past what I expected. My guests ask about The Photographer Sescau before anything else in the house. It was the first thing my mother noticed when she visited. The seller replied to my question in under a hour.
Everyone who walks in asks about it. It brings out parts of The Photographer Sescau I have never seen reproduced this well.
This was a gift for my sister and she called me the day it arrived. I have been hunting for a good version of The Photographer Sescau for two years.
This is my fourth order from this shop and the standard has not slipped once. Every line in The Photographer Sescau is crisp, even in the busiest areas.
It arrived four days after I ordered and in perfect shape. There is more going on in The Photographer Sescau than I noticed on the website. It is staying right where it is.
