“The Little Bridge” is a landscape by Jacob van Ruisdael (1628/29–1682), the Dutch Golden Age painter celebrated for elevating ordinary countryside scenery — streams, woodland, weathered trees — into subjects worthy of a masterpiece. A modest wooden bridge crossing a stream becomes, in Ruisdael's hands, the quiet centerpiece of a scene rich in atmosphere and detail. His work went on to influence landscape painting across Europe and America for the next two centuries.
Jacquard-woven in soft, durable cotton — a warm, fully reversible throw for the sofa, bed or reading chair.

This was a gift for my sister and she called me the day it arrived. There is a life to The Little Bridge here that flat reproductions usually kill.
Thank you for coming back for another one. Repeat customers are the best compliment we get.

It has completely changed how the nursery feels. It has made me appreciate The Little Bridge more than I already did. The tones are deep and even across the entire surface. This shop has a customer for life in me.
The detail is unbelievable for the price. My daughter recognized The Little Bridge from her art class and was thrilled.
I kept checking the tracking because I could not wait for it to get here. Anyone who loves Ruisdael should have The Little Bridge somewhere in the house. The packing was almost comical in how careful it was. It has made me a repeat customer already.
