Landscape at Loosduinen — Antique Landscape Print

Loosduinen, now part of The Hague, was known in the Dutch Golden Age for its windswept dunes, its windmills, and the fields stretching toward the North Sea coast. Its low, expansive scenery — flat land meeting an enormous sky — made it a favoured subject for 17th-century Dutch landscape artists working to capture the particular light and horizon of the Netherlands' coastal countryside.
