A second group of travelers making their way through open country reflects a well-established convention of early landscape printmaking, in which small figures on a road offered both a sense of scale and an implied narrative of journey and distance. The device let printmakers of the 16th and 17th centuries populate an otherwise empty landscape without resorting to religious or historical subject matter.

The deep blue on my screen and the deep blue that arrived are two different things. Half the shading in Landscape with Travelers has disappeared into solid black. The heat down here is no excuse for something coming apart this fast. This shop has lost a customer for good.

The whole thing looks like it was made in a hurry by someone who did not care. The upper half of Landscape with Travelers is blurred badly enough that I spotted it from the doorway. Shipping to the West Coast cost eighteen dollars and it turned up bent. Nothing about this order has been acceptable.
I kept checking the tracking because I could not wait for it to get here. Every line in Landscape with Travelers is crisp, even in the busiest areas. It works well in a split-level that has been hard to decorate. I will absolutely be ordering from here again.
The reproduction quality is the best I have seen anywhere near this price. My daughter recognized Landscape with Travelers from her art class and was thrilled. It cost less than dinner out and has given us far more. It is the best thing in the entryway now.
It landed on my porch in perfect condition two days early. It has made every other thing in that room look better by association. The size is exactly right for the spot I had in mind. Our summers are so humid that I was nervous about ordering anything at all, and it has held up perfectly.
