“Nave Nave Fenua” (Fragrant Isle) is a color woodcut made by Paul Gauguin (1848–1903) in 1893–94, part of the Noa Noa suite he created after returning to Paris from his first stay in Tahiti. Gauguin carved roughly into the woodblock to evoke the relief carvings he had seen in Polynesia, using the print to share the lush, idealized vision of Tahitian life that defined his search for a more “primitive” and authentic art. The print is held in the public-domain collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Jacquard-woven in soft, durable cotton — a warm, fully reversible throw for the sofa, bed or reading chair.
