This pen-and-ink drawing of figures, a chariot, and a dog is catalogued by the Art Institute of Chicago as after Nicolas Poussin (1594–1665), meaning it reproduces a composition associated with the French Baroque painter rather than being a sheet from his own hand. It is dated to about 1624, the year Poussin settled in Rome, when he was absorbing antique sculpture and developing the rigorous, classically grounded figure style that would define his later mythological and history paintings. As a study sheet rather than a finished narrative scene, it offers a glimpse of the working vocabulary behind Poussin's more elaborate compositions. The original sheet is held among the Art Institute of Chicago's Old Master drawings.
Printed edge to edge on a soft, durable woven area rug with a comfortable, non-slip feel.

This looks like something that cost twice what it did. The color choices Poussin made in Figures, Chariot and Dog come through clearly. It survived a move across town in the original packaging.
This has been the easiest online order I have placed in years. The texture in Figures, Chariot and Dog makes Poussin feel present in the room. My whole family has commented on it and they never notice anything. I would order this again tomorrow.
Thank you for coming back for another one. Repeat customers are the best compliment we get.
It made the den feel finished in a way I could not manage on my own. I have wanted something by Poussin since college, and Figures, Chariot and Dog was the one to get. I am thrilled with the whole experience.
My mother liked hers so much that I ordered one too. The scale works perfectly for Figures, Chariot and Dog and nothing feels cramped.
I have no real complaints and one small wish. The detail in Figures, Chariot and Dog holds up from a couple of feet away. It looks good in daylight and better under a lamp. Everything in this house is secured for earthquakes and this has stayed put through two small ones. This shop has earned a repeat customer.
