The Story in the Margin
Paul Signac, best known for his coastal and harbor scenes, also painted the city of Paris using the Pointillist technique he developed alongside Georges Seurat. "Notre Dame" depicts the great Gothic cathedral on the Île de la Cité, rendered in the small, distinct dots of pure color that define Neo-Impressionism, applying the movement's scientific approach to color and light to one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
Printed with archival giclée inks on smooth, acid-free 220 gsm gallery-grade fine-art paper; available in multiple sizes.

The colors are richer in person than they look on a screen. 😍
This sits right in the middle for me. The subject of Notre Dame carries this more than the reproduction does. I have looked at it every day for a month and still have no strong opinion. The reproduction is clean in the middle and softer toward the edges. Somebody with lower expectations would be delighted.
The colors are richer in person than they look on a screen. The smallest marks in Notre Dame are still visible, which is the entire point. The condition on arrival was flawless, right down to the corners. Don't think twice, just order it.
I have bought three of these now for different rooms. I have wanted something by Signac since college, and Notre Dame was the one to get. Thank you for making something this good.
This went well past what I expected. Everything that makes Notre Dame special survived the reproduction. Our farmhouse has a lot of empty space and this filled some of it nicely. Five stars without hesitation.
