In The Four Continents (c. 1615), Peter Paul Rubens personifies Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas as reclining women paired with the great river-gods of their lands, lounging in a lush tangle of flesh, tigers and water. It is a Baroque allegory of a world newly mapped, and a highlight of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
Jacquard-woven both sides in soft, durable yarn; insert included.

It has completely changed how the study feels. Owning The Four Continents means more to me than generic art ever could, and Rubens is part of that. Ten out of ten from me.
My mother liked hers so much that I ordered one too. The whole thing feels like it was made by people who care about it. It washed up beautifully on cold and came out looking new. I would order this again tomorrow.
Delivery was quick and the tracking actually updated. It has held up through a winter of dry radiator heat with no curling at all. It has been a pleasure to have around.
I would buy from this shop again without much thought. The colors in The Four Continents came through almost exactly as I hoped.
I ordered it on a Friday and it was here Monday. The shading in The Four Continents has a depth I never noticed in books. The whole order was smooth from checkout to unwrapping. It was the first thing my mother noticed when she visited.
