Pierre-Auguste Renoir's reclining female figures, painted throughout his career, drew on a long tradition of the reclining nude in Western art while applying his own warm color and soft, caressing brushwork. "Woman Reclining, to the Left" reflects this consistent preoccupation with the female form at rest, a subject Renoir returned to with increasing frequency and freedom in his later years. Sent it back, still waiting
The tracking number they sent me has never once worked. The seller told me twice that a replacement had shipped and it never did. It smelled like a chemical plant for a week in a house where we keep the windows open. I would warn anyone thinking about buying here.
