Painted in 1565, Hunters in the Snow is the most famous winter scene in Western art. Weary hunters and their dogs trudge home over a ridge above a frozen valley where villagers skate on green-black ice — part of Bruegel's great series on the months of the year, and a treasure of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.

I have no real complaints and one small wish. The detail in the small areas is much better than I expected. This shop has earned a repeat customer.

I ordered it on a Friday and it was here Monday. The texture in Hunters in the Snow makes Bruegel feel present in the room. It made it through hurricane season on the coast with no problems at all. Highly recommended if you are hesitating.
