The Story in the Margin
Widely considered the high point of Rembrandt van Rijn's career as an etcher, “The Hundred Guilder Print” weaves together several episodes from the Gospel of Matthew — Christ healing the sick, debating scholars, and welcoming children — into a single luminous composition centered on Christ himself. Rembrandt (1606–1669) worked on the plate over much of the 1640s, and its dramatic use of light and shadow marks a turning point in his printmaking. Its popular name comes from the enormous sum it was said to fetch even in Rembrandt's lifetime.
Printed with archival giclée inks on smooth, acid-free 220 gsm gallery-grade fine-art paper; available in multiple sizes.

I'm keeping it, though I thought about sending it back for a solid week. The linework in The Hundred Guilder is decent without ever being crisp.
This has gotten more compliments than anything else we own. My friends recognized The Hundred Guilder right away, which surprised me. Four stars and a short wish list.
My mother liked hers so much that I ordered one too. I bought this for The Hundred Guilder and got far more than I paid for. The poster arrived rolled in a heavy tube that would take real effort to damage.
Thank you so much, this made our morning. Enjoy it, and send a photo if you ever feel like it.
