This gum tempera, ink and gold painting, made around 1560 for the Mughal emperor Akbar's court, illustrates a Tuti-nama (Tales of a Parrot) story explaining the origin of music through a fabulous Indian bird whose beak held seven holes, each producing its own note. Painted within Akbar's royal workshop during the earliest years of Mughal painting, the manuscript's illustrations blend Persian pictorial elegance with vivid Indian storytelling and color. The page is held in the public-domain collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Jacquard-woven in soft, durable cotton — a warm, fully reversible throw for the sofa, bed or reading chair.
