This gum tempera, ink and gold painting, made around 1560 for the Mughal emperor Akbar's court, illustrates another twist in the Tuti-nama (Tales of a Parrot): a pious man's unfaithful wife tries to serve her lover the magical seven-colored bird as a meal, only for her scheme to unravel in anger and confusion. Painted within Akbar's royal workshop during the formative years of Mughal painting, the manuscript is prized for its lively storytelling and fusion of Persian and Indian pictorial traditions. The page is held in the public-domain collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Jacquard-woven in soft, durable cotton — a warm, fully reversible throw for the sofa, bed or reading chair.
