Vale of Kashmir — Antique Landscape Print

The "Vale of Kashmir" became a fixture of the 19th-century romantic imagination largely through Thomas Moore's wildly popular 1817 poem Lalla Rookh, which described the valley's meadows, lakes, and mountains as a kind of earthly paradise.
